Welcome to Holmesglen Institute of TAFE. We are pleased to be associated
with Nextra as one of our industry partners in the delivery of training
programs in a format to suit business needs.
Holmesglen is one of Australia's most accomplished providers of
vocational education and training. Since its establishment in 1982,
Holmesglen has been renowned as a centre of excellence for the design
and delivery of education, training and consultative services. Over
40,000 students currently study at Holmesglen in full or part-time
courses offered seven days a week. In excess of 1,500 staff are
employed on an on-going, fixed term or casual basis.
Holmesglen has distinguished itself from others over many years
- it was the first educational institution in Australia to operate
on a seven day a week basis, to obtain quality assurance to ISO9001
level, and to offer two-tier degree programs. It has enjoyed spectacular
student growth, has modern, well-planned facilities and an enviable
record in terms of enterprise-based activities. It is the primary
destination for overseas students attending TAFE in Victoria.
Holmesglen is responsive to industry needs and has set the benchmark
for the delivery of on-site training in a variety of industries.
A number of industries in which Holmesglen has worked range from
building and construction, hospitality, retail, furnishing, transport,
food processing, information technology, telecommunications, warehousing,
civil construction, agriculture, cleaning and horticulture. Projects
have been undertaken on a state, national and international level.
The ability to draw on the expertise of staff from a diverse range
of trade, business and academic areas is a distinct advantage for
the Institute.
